As our jeep climped the trail to Engineer’s Pass near Ouray, Colorado, a field of flowers caught my photgrapher’s eye.

I’m in Telluride right now. Beautiful, sunny day w/ immaculately groomed slopes and glorious San Juan scenery — but no more wildflowers till spring.
