While tagging along on Alan’s Oregon Coast photo workshop with Marc Adamus, I attempted to capture one of Marc’s signature shots. This sunset photograph from the rocky beach at Strawberry Hill says fireworks to me. Happy 4th of July.

Excellent capture. These are truly sea-quins.
Happy 4th!
Oh what a lovely shot! Well done…
That's gorgeous! It definitely is reminiscent of fireworks.

Donna – this is really spectacular. It's hard to believe this isn't touched up. Is it?

Beth, I couldn't remember the editing process for this photo so I checked up on myself. The picture was edited through Picasa using the “saturation” and “sharpening” buttons, that's it. The effect of the colorful sunbursts comes from shooting at sunset with a slightly longer exposure. I was also using a hand held tripod.

Amazing photo! It doesn't look real but it makes me want to take the photo workshop for sure.

Thanks, Jane. Of course March gave Alan tips on how to photograph a
shot like this. I was in the background watching and decided to give
it a try myself.
