Baby boomers, can you believe that it’s been two years? That’s right, this month My Itchy Travel Feet celebrates two years of publishing travel information for active baby boomers. Have you been inspired to go on a trip because of the words and photographs about our own baby boomer adventures? We hope so.

What’s an anniversary without a celebration? During the month of May, we’ll be reviewing an interesting line-up of travel products. The best part? Our readers will have a chance to win them.

  • Marriott. The hotel giant is celebrating the launch of Instant Redemption Awards program by offering 25,000 Marriott Rewards points to one of our readers.
  • OKA b. Wait till you meet these lightweight, antimicrobial, dishwasher safe shoes. Oh, did I mention environmentally conscious and vegan friendly?
  • WikiReader. Are you obsessed with knowing the facts? Carry the power of Wiki on your travels with this handy reader.
  • ApproachGuides Wine App for iPhone or iTouch. Are you traveling to Italy or France? Download this app before leaving to be an informed wine drinker.
  • Ahnu Footwear. What baby boomer woman wants to travel through Europe in white tennis shoes when she can look stylish, yet be comfortable, in a pair of Ahnu shoes?
  • Select Registry, Distinguished Inns of North America book and $100 gift certificate. After our recent coastal California road trip, Alan and I can vouch first-hand about the quality of the lodging accommodations listed at Select Registry.

The first review (with contest) starts tomorrow. Be sure to visit to see what’s on offer. You never know when we might throw in a surprise. Subscribe to My Itchy Travel Feet, so you don’t miss a thing.

Okay, I know you’re curious about what topics have been the most popular at My Itchy Travel Feet. Which post received the most traffic? Kayking Down Florida’s Ichetucknee River. An oldie but goodie was a close second: Travel With the Animals on a South African Game Drive. So which Saturday’s scene caught your eye? The Cliffs of Na Pali. And which baby boomer woman holds the record for having the most pictures of her feet published on the internet? It has to be me.

Of course none of this could happen without our wonderful readers. So, Alan and I say a big THANK YOU. We also care about your opinions. Are we publishing content that is useful and meaningful to you? Please post a comment to share your opinion. Tell us what you would like to see in the coming months at My Itchy Travel Feet. We’ll pay attention.

In the meantime, Alan and I will be scratching our itchy travel feet with plenty of adventure-filled trips this year. And, I think it’s about time I take a picture of Alan’s itchy travel feet, don’t you? Happy reading.

Disclosure: Marriott Rewards Program, Oka b., WikiReader, Approach Guides Wine App, Ahnu Footwear and Select Registry, Distinguished Inns of North America have provided their products for our review.

We've stayed at several Select Registry properties over the years. One of our favorites? The Inn at Cedar Falls in Ohio.

Congrats on reaching your two-year milestone!

Donna,
Interesting that, with all the world travels you write about, your visit to the Ichetuckee is the most popular. any thoughts about why?
congratulations on your anniversary.

Happy Birthday Itchy Feet!

We have another web media property that has just passed the two year mark, and we are very near the 1,000th post.

Therefore, we understand the commitment, and give you a big high five!

Two years is a milestone to celebrate. Great accomplishment! I bet your hubbie's as happy as you are.

I love the Select registry too. It's the first book I head for and I have stayed in some real gems over the years.

Kerry, I'm not sure why the Ichetucknee post is so popular. Although, many boomers travel to Florida so that could be part of the reason.

I think I'll prefer to see your feet more than Alan's although happy to hear about all your joint adventures
