Baby boomer photographers will find plenty of photo opps at the Butterfly Rainforest in Gainesville, Florida. On my visit, butterflies were everywhere—floating beside me, congregating near a water feature, even landing on my blouse. I smiled my way through this permanent exhibit at the Florida Museum of Natural History. You will too.
Have you photographed butterflies during your boomer travels? Post a comment to tell us where. Alan has a new camera that he’s itching to try out.

Nice Catch!! And without a net, too.

No net or fancy camera for this catch. Just my trusty Panasonic Lumix.

Thanks. I do, too. There’s something so peaceful about a butterfly.

Thanks, you should have seen the butterflies in person. I was told
that cancer patients, especially children, come to visit. A great way
for them to forget about their suffering.

Thanks!
A great photo Donna! I can’t take enough photos of butterflies or birds while I’m out and about either! Before we bought our DSLR we used to use a Panasonic Lumix too (they are s good aren’t they for a point and shoot!?)

Hi Elise. Thanks for stopping by. I swear by my Panasonic Lumix. We
just bought a new version that has the flip out viewer for taking
videos. As a matter of fact, I need to add that to my list of reviews
for My Itchy Travel Feet. Of course Alan uses the big gun, a Cannon
5D. Nothing beats a great photo from a DSLR.
