Saturday’s scene: The Old West

by on 2011/04/09

horses-barn-paso-robles-californiaTwo horses go head to head in a scene that could be straight out of The Old West. Bet you can’t guess where Alan took this photo? California wine country. That’s right, this old west photo was taken at Harris Stage Lines. If you visit Paso Robles, on the central coast, you’ll discover old west history, remnants of a Spanish mission past as well as a thriving food and wine scene. Have you visited Paso Robles? What was your favorite active boomer adventure? Alan learned to drive a stagecoach.

Well, okay, they raise wine, but California is WEST, and it is comparatively OLD (compared to the rest of the west, Europeans settled California first.) Lovely picture. Would make a nice calendar.

Great photo, are those Clydesdales? Driving a stagecoach sounds like fun!

No, they weren’t Clydesdales but they were really big horses!
