Alan and I are back in Montana after an exciting 14-day Silversea expedition cruise in the Arctic. Some of the highlights included: walking on the Arctic ice shelf, a close-up encounter with a walrus on a zodiac ride, and everything about Greenland’s beautiful Scoresbysund, one of the largest fjords in the world. I can’t wait to write more about the trip, including featuring Alan’s excellent photography.
As we dealt with a delayed flight from Iceland that resulted in missed connections on the return to Montana, I was reminded of this travel advice: know alternatives to your route and be pleasant, but firm, when questioning changes. Because I did both, we arrived in Missoula by 7:00 p.m. rather than the midnight flight Delta had rebooked us on.
Nicole and I seem to be passing in the night. My Itchy Travel Feet’s lucky assistant editor is lounging on a beautiful Spanish beach this week. Fingers crossed for a couple of gorgeous sunset photos to share at the My Itchy Travel Feet page on Facebook.
