Earlier this week, Alan and I woke up to 8 inches of new snow, just after our snow cover had finally melted. Where is spring? If, like me, you’re looking for spring, I know where you can find it. Magnolia Plantation and Gardens near Charleston, SC, is one of my all-time favorite gardens. And their Facebook account is showing photos of azaleas at almost peak bloom. So if you are up for a spontaneous, immediate getaway, I recommend that you head for the beauty of a southern spring in Charleston. And if you go, please post photos to the My Itchy Travel Feet page on Facebook. At least I’ll experience spring vicariously through your travels.
The American Southwest is filled with all kinds of interesting destinations, but it’s especially attractive for photographers. Professional and amaetur shutterbugs are drawn to the amazing landscape found in Tucson’s Saguaro National Park or the famed slot canyons.
