Hello from Montana! Alan and I returned Monday from our Atlantic crossing and Mediterranean cruise on Silver Wind. And it looks like spring waited for us. Yikes, it’s cold here!
We’ve returned from Italy with a travel tip. If you are building in an extra day at the beginning or end of a cruise that embarks or disembarks from Civitavecchia (the port for Rome), the Hilton Rome Airport Hotel offers a good night’s sleep. And it’s an easy walk to or from the airport to the hotel. Plus the Hilton Rome Airport offers a free shuttle to Rome in case you have time for extra exploring. So far, Alan and I have stayed here twice. We appreciate the quiet, spacious lobby, on-site restaurant and convenient location.
We’ve been talking National Park travel this month. As one of our favorite types of travel, it’s also a bonus when we can mix a park visit with another love of ours: active travel. To get some inspiration for your next trek through amazing scenery, take a look at some of our favorite National Park Hikes such as Hiking to Bullhead Lake or Hiking in Big Bend National Park.
We know how much you love traveling in Italy, our theme for May. If you aren’t subscribed to the My Itchy Travel Feet monthly newsletter, better do it now for some great Italian travel ideas, advice and deals! Subscribe here for travel goodness in your inbox on Thursday, May 4, 2017.
