Speaking of cruises, our next one is coming up soon. A month in the South Pacific? Yes, please. And I found the cutest Scala hat at a gift shop in Yachats, OR—okay, I bought two. Scala is my favorite brand of packable hats. I especially like the drawstring feature so that the hat truly fits my head.
Always Hungry update: Yes, you can eat the Always Hungry way while traveling. At Local Ocean Seafoods in Newport, OR, I enjoyed grilled halibut, fresh peaches and poblano pepper in a vinaigrette sauce. I’m pretty sure it met the Phase 2 ration of 40% fat, 35% slow carbohydrates and 25% protein. I ate half and took the rest back to the vacation rental for the next day’s lunch. Thanks for letting me stay accountable by reporting my progress here. If you have questions, send me an email.
Well, just as soon as I got to planning my autumn travel adventures, Spain decided to turn up the heat again. It’s been in the mid-90s for the last week and doesn’t look like it’s going to cool down anytime soon. So what better way to celebrate this Indian summer than head to the beach? Next week, I’ll be heading to Cadiz to stroll on the sand and maybe even go for a dip or two. And of course, I’m using Donna’s time in Cadiz as a guide to get to know the city. Thanks, Donna!
