Welcome to this edition of News for the Week—a look at boomer travel ideas, news and deals.
This edition of News for the Week will be short and sweet. My mother passed away on Thursday so Alan and I are traveling to Atlanta for the funeral. And, to be honest, my mind isn’t in the right place to write articles or look up travel specials to share with you.
But, if you’ll indulge me, a word about my mom: although she didn’t have the opportunity to travel the world as I have had, Mother enjoyed a few, brief years of exploring before my dad’s poor health curtailed their travels. Cruising in Alaska was a big favorite as were the genealogy trips they made to England.
Events like this serve as a reminder to stop putting life off and go live it. My wish for you in 2019 is that you’ll take my advice to heart, get off the couch and travel!
I’m on Christmas break enjoying holiday fun in Spain until January 8.
If you’re not signed up yet for our monthly travel newsletter, get on it! January’s edition will feature our favorite bucket list trips!
