Should we go? Should we stay at home? Has your weather been as changeable (and bad) as what we’ve been experiencing in Montana? For weeks, Alan and I have been trying to take a short getaway that would include a quick winter trip—only one day unfortunately—into Yellowstone National Park to satisfy my yearning to see the wolves of Lamar Valley. This week we’re going to make it happen! Follow along as I share photos and posts on Facebook and Instagram. We’ll complete the trip by following our own advice for a romantic Grey Cliffs Ranch getaway.
The Silversea cruise documents arrived for our April cruise on the Silver Wind. Alan and I treat the arrival of cruise documents as a special occasion. Tonight we’ll enjoy a glass of champagne while opening the silver box filled with information about the cruise. The itinerary includes an Atlantic crossing, new-to-us Mediterranean ports plus the islands of Corsica, Sicily, Sardinia and Malta.
Hi, everyone! This week, we published a wonderful post on Lamego, Portugal that bought back some great memories for me. When I first came to Spain, I stayed with a family in a fairly compact Madrid apartment. On a long holiday weekend, I treated myself to a trip to Lisbon and just loved the city. That trip is still, to this day, one of my favorite solo trips I’ve ever taken. A few years later, I would visit Oporto and a few small villages on the east coast with my husband and was equally as impressed. If you’re considering a European visit anytime soon, please try and make some time for beautiful Portugal!

Uh-oh. Did you forget that Valentine’s Day is on Tuesday? That’s okay. We’ve got you covered. Simply download Donna’s printable Montana coloring pages, roll them into a scroll and tie with a red ribbon. Buy a small tin of colored pencils and a bottle of champagne. Then pour the bubbly into fancy glasses and spend an hour or so coloring together. The rest of the evening is up to you.
