Wildfire season is in full swing in the western U.S, which is one of the reasons that I’m not posting a hiking report this week. There are lots of fires in our corner of Montana. But don’t cancel your trip, because the entire park probably isn’t covered in smoke. Use the websites to know what to expect:
Always Hungry update: I’m moving from Phase 1 (50% fat/25% slow carbs/25% protein slowly into Phase 2 (40% fat/35% slow carbs including intact grains/25% protein). In Phase 2, there’s a smoothie that includes a whole banana. Boy did it taste sweet to me—too sweet—which proves that eliminating sugar from diets really does change tastebuds and the way we perceive sweetness. Think sugar isn’t bad for your body? read this article from Experience Life. Oh, and I lost .6 lbs last week. I’ll take that slow steady weight loss. Thanks for letting me stay accountable by reporting my progress here. If you have questions, send me an email.
We’re still talking Canada travel this month and if you’re looking for the ultimate outdoor experience, why not check out Canada’s Great Trail? The final part of the trail, which stretches a whopping 15,000 miles, is set to be connected in late August. The trail starts near St John’s and finishes on Vancouver Island. Talk about an amazing Canadian Adventure!
