From Donna:

It’s okay to change your travel plans. That’s exactly what Alan and I did this week when we cancelled our September road trip in Alaska. After me being sick most of July, the Alaska trip has lost its sparkle. Instead, we’re heading to the Oregon coast to continue exploring. Our rule: it’s okay to cancel a trip as long as you replace it with other travel plans.

I’ve got cruising on my mind. Do you? Start researching with our Luxury Cruise Planner.

And another boomer travel tip: when booking cruises, confirm what happens to your deposit if you cancel before final payment date. These days, most cruise lines will not refund the full deposit, keeping a portion of the money. Some lines will apply the non-refundable amount to a future cruise, others will not. Be sure to ask this question when booking your next cruise.
