If you’re lucky like Alan and Donna, you’ll see some beautiful wildlife on a fall road trip stop through Yellowstone National Park.

From Donna:

Although I’m still on my summer vacation from blogging, I did spend time updating several older articles to increase their value to you. When updating, I add more ideas for planning plan your trip plus check for broken links and eliminate out-of-date information. You’ll find this week’s work in the Recently Updated section. Hope you’ll take a look.

Trees in the old forest at Drift Creek Wilderness.

Some of the trees in Drift Creek Wilderness are 7ft around. Those are big trees!

Last Sunday, Alan and I looked for a hike using 100 Hikes on the Oregon Coast & Coast Range, then confirmed how to get there with the Oregon Benchmark Recreational Atlas. Boy, did we come up with a winner. The Harris Ranch Trail travels through old growth forest in the Drift Creek Wilderness. Check it out if you’re on the central coast.

From Nicole:

Well, I’m off on my road trip to beautiful Cantabria. I know I’ve said it a million times before, but the north of Spain is just so gorgeous. Along with lush green landscapes that back up to the Cantabrian Sea, I’m really looking forward to a respite from Madrid’s searing heat! Hopefully, I’ll be back with some photos to share!

Boomer Travel Deals

When Alan and Donna begin searching for flights for the next boomer travel adventure, we conduct a search on Skyscanner to find the most convenient flights with the best prices. It’s a great tool for researching flights. After finding the flight that’s right for us, we go to the airline website to see if their price matches the one we found on Skyscanner. When it comes to airlines and hotels, always book direct, if you can. Be sure to download their app for researching while you’re on the road: Skyscanner iOS App Download or Skyscanner Android App Download

Are you looking for a pair of Clarks sandals for your next tropical cruise? Donna found these on sale at Zappos. By the way, this is a great time of year to stock up on warm weather shoes and clothes before that winter trip. You won’t find them in January.
