From Donna: Nicole, My Itchy Travel Feet Assistant Editor, is on vacation until the end of August, lucky girl, so it’s just me clueing you in on our News for the Week.
Our hearts go out to residents of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana, who are dealing with forest fires. It’s been a tough fire season in the western U.S. Although the Bitterroot Valley is currently safe from fires, our valley has been severely impacted by the smoke. So, this week, Alan and I temporarily relocated My Itchy Travel Feet headquarters to the Oregon coast in search of clean air. It’s a working vacation for both of us but I’m sure we’ll find a couple of adventures to tell you about. If you’re traveling in the West, be sure to check out the fire resources that I’ve included in More Travel News for Boomers.
