Alan photographed this fiery scene during a late afternoon of whale watching in Frederick Sound, Alaska. Thanks to InnerSea Discoveries and American Safari Cruises for providing this baby boomer travel adventure.

Nothing beats a beautiful sunrise or sunset scene – the bronzed sky and the silhouetted land. A surfacing whale would have completed this stunning sight.

Yes, a whale in the photo would have made an award winner, don’t you
think?
What a lovely scene…. perfect for meditating.

Kristina, I agree. It was a magical experience to be there in person.
great shot
What a beautiful photograph!
Alaska is gorgeous and every photograph displays its beauty.
I really like the “fiery colors” you captured, they remind me of the colorful contrast when hot lava hits the ocean waves in Hawaii, another amazing site.
Thank you for sharing your great insights through your blog posts, very enjoyable to read.
