reading-lenses-stick-onI’m a lucky baby boomer. So far, I don’t need glasses for distance. However, when I turned 40, my close-up vision started to deteriorate. Now I need lenses for any type of close-up reading. You might have seen a boomer like me sitting in a parking lot checking cell phone messages. My sunglasses are propped below my nose while I browse emails wearing my reading glasses. Or, if I’m really in a hurry, I plop the reading lenses on top of the sunglasses. No, there is no photo of that, it’s not a pretty site. Thanks to Seemores stick-on reading lenses, there’s a better solution.

When the folks at Seemores asked me to try their stick-on reading lenses, I was skeptical. After all, I didn’t want to ruin my favorite pair of Ray-Bans. And I wasn’t sure that a flimsy piece of film would stick to my sunglasses. I was wrong on both points. First, it only took a few drops of water to secure the Seemores lenses to the Ray-Bans. Second, the lenses weren’t a piece of flimsy film. Instead, these stick-ons are pliable lenses that easily peel off,  just in case I want to change them to a new pair of sunglasses.

Now I can read books on the sunny deck of a cruise ship, check email messages while wearing my sunglasses, even read the car dashboard a little easier. And the best part – I didn’t have to purchase an expensive pair of bi-focal sunglasses. At $19.95 a pair (strengths range from +1.25 to +3.00), Seemores are an economical solution.
