As a North Central Florida resident, I enjoyed your article on Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings homestead. I hope you find the time to come back to our area sometime to discover the other treasures North Florida has to offer, like the hundreds of crystal clear springs, or paddling down the Suwannee River.

Best wishes on your travels.

Hi,

I ran across your blog today and really enjoy your articles. Even though I'm not a baby boomer, I think they are good for any age. I'm interested in being a freelance writer myself . I would love to be able to visit different places and write about my experiences. Do you have any tips or suggestions on how to get started? Thanks!

I want to enter the contest. Is this the right place?

Kerry Simpson August 27, 2009 at 6:52 pm

My son just started French 1 – maybe this would be something to help him keep up.

I am a travel agent, but only speak English and feel very inadequate in other countries. I feel like Spanish (Latin American) would be the best language for me to learn. Baby boomers have been left behind and it is up to us to pick up and learn something new! Thank you for giving us this opportunity!!

I would like to learn Portuguese (Brazilian) since I sing some Brazilian sambas and bossa novas and would like to feel more confident about the pronunciation. J have always wondered about this program and was happy to read more about how it works. It makes sense. How nice of you to offer it.

Susan Hunter August 29, 2009 at 10:53 am

I would love to improve my very basic Spanish.

susanrussell August 29, 2009 at 2:36 pm

I have tried for 20 years to learn Spanish. Classes, books, and tapes fill my bookshelves but still, I have not had any real success with my efforts. My greatest difficulty has been to learn the verb tenses and verbally communicate in spanish. If Rosetta Stone Language Learning Software can help me overcome this stumbling block, I will be very grateful indeed.

As soon as we are home from one trip, my husband & I are daydreaming about the next one. When our grandson was three I told him we were going on another trip because, ” We have itchy feet.” He said, “Not me. I wear socks!”
Our grandson is now seven & has itchy feet as well. We have taken him to Central America twice & he likes to suggest future locations he thinks we should visit. I would love to learn Spanish & teach it to my grandson as well.

I have wanted to try the Rosetta Stone since I heard their ads. I need Spanish badly. I speak a little; mostly medical. I work in a county hospital ER and despertly need more Spanish. Between working and travel;this would be a greast asset for me. Thanks! Judy D.

Tried the sample software, it's very effective. Would love this.

Travel is the venue for understanding. Having experienced other countries and varied cultures I am made aware that travel alone is only a beginning. Language is the other half of understanding. Though I can fumble my way thru a conversation for directions and help, I still come home feeling empty because I cannot actually converse with the citizens and understand the culture on a deeper level. I would be very pleased to have the opportunity to use Rosetta Stone to assist my learning.
Thank you for this chance.

I work exclusively with Koreans doing construction work and I seem to get by. However I would really like to communicate my concepts so as to produce better results. At the very least I would like to learn how to say, “I told you so!”

I never cruised before but definitively I will love to do it one day, I know is somewhere in Alaska. What I'm really will love to do is to watch Whales in special Blue Whales those are magnificent creatures that survive from almost extinction and for what I know those tours also helps financially those people who try to protect Whales environments. And for sure I will recommend Mr. Alan and everyone who can to take a road trip to Alaska specially to watch the Whales.

Spanish tutoring by Rosetta Stone looks promising. I need a tutor.

willitara February 10, 2010 at 6:54 am

I would be listening to one of my many audio books. Listening to a book makes the time go by so much faster especially when I am driving a long dull highway.

Jennifer March 9, 2010 at 4:08 pm

I love watchign Mad Men on my iPhone on long flights. I watch several episodes back to back!

If I win the idox case for my Nano 5G, I plan to use it to record the music and messages from my weekly Church sermon to then share with the men in my class at a prison unit here in north Texas. They really enjoy the video element that I have been able to bring in from You Tube downloads, but only the audio is available from the Church that I attend.
