When Alan and I visited Beijing, China, we discovered a sea of bicycles outside the gates to the Temple of Heaven. Our guide explained that the park outside the Temple of Heaven is where Chinese baby boomers hang out. How many of these bikes belonged to them? I can only guess. But, it would have been fun to ride along with a Chinese boomer or two.
Do you like to ride bikes during your travels? When Alan and I visit Kiawah Island, we always make sure that our condo rental includes two bicycles. Riding the bicycle paths on the island, and also on the hard-packed sandy beach, is so much fun. While we enjoy trying activities like bike riding while traveling, we don’t enjoy ending up with a sore back.
