Saturday’s scene: Gardening on the Cote d’Azur

Baby boomer travelers will find this view of the Côte d’Azur during a walk in the gardens at Villa de Rothschild. Alan and I enjoyed looking through the vine-covered pergola at the homes of the rich and famous while on a Seabourn Cruise excursion that also included a visit to Eze. So, could you spend the summer here in the South of France?

Yes, Jane, it’s a lovely and very expensive area.

My husband and I spent several days in Nice about 4 years ago. Not only could I spend the summer, I could live there year-round – assuming I could afford it! :-)

You’re right, Amy, the French Riviera is an expensive destination. It
would be fun to spend several months there exploring, though.

Oh yes I think I could spend the summer in the South of France! This area has long been of interest to me and would love the opportunity to visit the seaside villages as well as the villages along the hilltop.

Thanks for stopping by, Debbie. The South of France is worthy of many
visits. We hope to go back, too.
