A fall leaf peeping trip usually means a drive somewhere along the U.S. East Coast to see a brilliant landscape colored red, purple and gold. But don’t forget the mountains of the West when making your boomer road trip plans. On a fall visit to Grand Teton National Park, Alan and I discovered a vibrant fall scene. The colorful leaves of cottonwood and aspen trees stood out against the background of gray granite peaks that were already streaked with a bit of snow. Are you planning a fall adventure? Check out Donna’s article at the REAL powered by Humana site, for tips on a fall visit in our national parks.
Where do you go to enjoy the fall foliage? Post a comment to share your favorite colorful destination. Alan and I are always adding ideas to our travel list.

As usual you have a great blog with beautiful pictures. I love the Ozark Mountains in Missouri during the fall. The colors are breath taking. Fall is my favorite time of the year. Thank you for sharing.

Ann, I haven’t been to the Ozarks. Another fall road trip to add to the list. Thanks for commenting.

That looks so beautiful! I miss the changing of the leaves (live in Miami now), but I guess that’s the trade off for 70 degree “winter” days!

I know what you mean. At least the leaves change a little bit in the desert southwest, where I’ve lived for the last 11 years. I still miss those gorgeous colors on the Blue Ridge Parkway – my old stomping grounds.

Wonderful photo as always. Fall (autumn) brings great times to the top half of the US with those superb warming colours coming through on all the trees.

What an interesting website this is. I am a freelance photographer and travel writer and the images presented here are outstanding. Fall is a wonderful season for travel and capturing the essence of nature. As a fellow boomer, recently retired, I am just beginning to explore the world from a new perspective. I look forward to seeing more of your images and hearing about fellow boomer travels.
