Is a jet boat ride part of your boomer travel memories? Was it all about the thrills of spinning to a complete stop in the middle of a shallow river or darting here and there as the captain chose the best line? When Alan and I experienced a jet boat tour with Wanaka River Journeys in Wanaka, New Zealand, we discovered that jaw dropping scenery was part of the package. As our jet boat skimmed its way up the Matukituki River threading a path up the braided river, the mountains seemed to fold onto one another revealing one beautiful scene after another. We couldn’t click off the photos fast enough. It’s one of our favorite New Zealand road trip memories.
Have you experienced a jet boat ride on the beautiful Matukituki River or in another part of the world? Post a comment to share your experience. Alan and I can’t wait to repeat this active boomer travel experience.
