Autumn at Arches National Park

Are you a boomer who counts fall as your favorite season? Alan and I agree with you, especially when it comes to photographic opportunities. During a fall photography workshop at Arches National Park, near Moab, Utah, I captured this scene near the trail to Park Avenue. Crouching low to the ground, I angled the camera up through a patch of golden wildflowers toward the cloud-streaked sky. And that’s your boomer photography lesson for today — experiment with different angles for a new perspective on an old scene.

Boomer Travel Tip: Admission to U.S. National Parks is free next weekend, November 11- 13. Better take advantage of the opportunity, it’s the last one for 2011. Are you a boomer who likes to plan ahead? Check out the free admission weekends for 2012.
